The suncatcher was a machine which Renfield created in "All For One" with the help of Wolfie. The machine was made from an assortment of mirrors which reflected and concentrated the sun's rays in the direction of a north facing window. It was placed on the roof of Garside Grange.
The machine was created to defeat the vampire Sethius (with the collaboration of Ingrid, Count Dracula and the slayers). Sethius, having avoided the deadly rays from the south window, was hit with the rays of the suncatcher coming from the opposite window. He was turned to dust in seconds.
