Transylvania is a historical region in the central part of Romania, and the native country of the Dracula family. They were forced to leave in 2006 after a dispute between Count Dracula and the locals. The novel Dracula was partly set in Transylvania.

Transylvania was briefly seen in flashbacks when the Count remembered being chased away by an angry peasant mob. The Vampire High Council was first seen in Bootiful Breathers. The region later appeared in it's full glory in series 5 after Ingrid became a member of the Vampire High Council.
